Take the following steps to export all or part of the registry to a text file:

  1. Run REGEDIT from Start Menu > Run.



  2. In the Registry Editor window, click the File menu, and then click Export.



  3. In the Export Registry File window, type the name for the registry file. In the Export range section, select the All or Selected branch option, and then click the Save button.
