Set the DB_CACHE_ADVICE initialization parameter to READY to disable the advice collection feature temporarily. Setting this parameter to READY means that the advisory is turned off but the memory for the advisory remains allocated. Allocating the memory before the advisory is actually turned on, avoids the risk of an error when you switch the parameter to ON.
If the parameter is switched to this state from ON, the contents of the view are preserved and the memory for the advisory is retained.
If the parameter is switched to this state from OFF, you may get an error. Setting this parameter to OFF means that the advisory is turned off and the memory for the advisory is not allocated.
