Take the following steps to configure the opacity settings for gadgets of the Windows Sidebar:

  1. Open the Start menu, point to All Programs, click Accessories, and then click Windows Sidebar. This will display the Windows Sidebar.
  2. Right-click on a gadget, point to Opacity, and then select an opacity percentage.

Note: Selecting a low opacity percentage will make a gadget less visible. The higher the opacity percentage, the more visible will be the gadget.
