Take the following steps to block policy inheritance in a domain:
- Run Active Directory Users and Computers from Start Menu > Programs > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.

- In the Active Directory Users and Computers console tree, right-click the domain in which policy inheritance is to be blocked, and click Properties.

- In the <domainname> Properties dialog box, click the Group Policy tab, select the Block Policy inheritance check box, and click the OK button.
