How to apply a theme to a Web site?

The following are the steps to apply a theme to a Web site:

  1. Open a Web site named MyWebsite1. Create the App_Themes folder on the Web site to apply a theme for all Web pages within a single Web application. In the web.config file of the Web application, set the <pages> element to either an application or a page theme, as shown below:



  2. An application or a page theme can also be set as a style sheet theme. Therefore, add a Cascading Style Sheet to the theme, as shown below:



  3. In the web.config file of the Web application, set the StyleSheetTheme attribute in the <pages> element, as shown below:


Note: A theme setting in the web.config file applies to all ASP.NET Web pages in that application.
