How is a property added to a control in a Windows form using Visual Basic project?

Rating:

In a Windows form, a property is added to a control in the same way as a method is added to the control. Firstly, a property definition is created. Then, the property's functionality that is required to return and set the value represented by the property, is implemented. Generally, the value of a property is stored in a private member variable. In Visual Basic language, the Property keyword is used to create a property. For example:

Dim month As Integer
Public Property SetMonth() As Integer
   Get
      Return month
   End Get
   Set(ByVal value As Integer)
      month = value
   End Set
End Property
