What is the behavior of the elevation prompt for administrators in Admin Approval Mode?

The behavior setting determines the action that will be applied while a user perform an operation that requires elevated privileges. The behavior options for administrators in Admin Approval Mode are as follows:

  • Prompt for Consent: Configuring this behavior provides administrators a prompt to either Continue or Cancel when an operation requires elevation of privilege prompts.

  • Prompt for Credentials: Configuring this behavior prompts a user to enter a password. The operation continues only after verification of the password.

  • Elevate Without Prompting: Configuring this behavior can perform operation after elevating the privileges without prompting to the user.
The default behavior setting is Prompt for Consent.
