The Rectangular Marquee toot
is used to make selections in rectangular and square shapes. This tool creates a rectangular selection of a portion when a user drags it over the area he wants to select. To select a square area of an image, a user has to hold down the Shift key while dragging the selection. To start the selection from the center of the rectangle, the user needs to hold down the Alt key while dragging.
