What is the DB_BLOCK_CHECKSUM parameter?
Rating:
DB_BLOCK_CHECKSUM is an instance parameter, which is true by default and can be set to false. This parameter, when set to true, helps detect damages introduced by the disk or I/O systems. When the DBWn background process writes a data block to the data file, the parameter computes a checksum for the data block and stores the value of the checksum in the block header.
