What is file stripping?
Rating:
File stripping is a technology that is used to stripe a file or a folder among various disks on a server. It makes the access of a file or a folder more efficient, as more than one read-write head reading the disks contains file/folder. File stripping is made up of a disk set in which data is divided into blocks and is spread equally in each disk. File stripping increases the efficiency of a server because data read and write operations are not limited to a single disk, rather occupies a range of disk. File stripping can be done by using a file stripping software.
