Driver rollback is a new feature of Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional. It is used to restore a previous device driver that a computer had used successfully. Driver rollback is used when an installed or upgraded driver creates problems that were not experienced while using the previous driver. These problems may include resource conflict, unsigned drivers, badly written drivers, etc.
