What is an upgrade installation?
Rating:
An upgrade installation is one in which an operating system is installed over an existing installation of a previous version of Windows. If a user wants to install a newer version of the operating system over the existing operating system, he should always choose the upgrade installation. In this type of installation, all the existing applications and settings remain intact and a user can successfully run the applications without reinstalling them on the computer.
