What is a templated control?
Rating:
A templated control is a control that binds data to a data source. It supports templates, but has no default user interface. However, it can indirectly have a user interface through inline templates. A template contains HTML and DHTML elements, and data binding syntaxes to insert data from a data source. Controls that support templates are the GridView, FormView, and DetailsView controls.
