What is a covariant return?
Rating:
A covariant return allows a class to override the return type of a method it inherits from a super class. Using the covariant return feature, a method in a subclass may return an object whose type is a subclass of the type returned by the method with the same signature in the superclass. This means that the return type of the subclass' method should be the subclass of the return type of the superclass' method.
