What is Windows Sidebar?

Windows Sidebar is a view pane that users can add to the left or right side of the Windows Vista desktop. It contains and displays the gadgets installed on the computer. The basic configuration of the Sidebar can be set through the Sidebar Properties utility in Control Panel.
