What is ReadyBoost?
Rating:
ReadyBoost is a feature of Windows Vista, which helps to provide inexpensive methods to improve performance where RAM is a bottleneck. ReadyBoost uses a USB and flash memory technology to improve performance. It uses a USB-based storage device (flash memory) for caching information. As the flash memory is faster than the hard disk drive, it enhances read and write performance of a swap file. The information stored in the USB device is encrypted and is hence secured. The USB memory device must be fast flash and the computer must have USB 2.0 port.
