The RM command is used to delete files from a directory on a Linux computer.

Syntax:

RM [option] <file>

Several options are used with the RM command. Following is a list of some important options:

-fIgnores non-existing files.

Example:

The following command will delete the xfile.txt file from /home/users directory:

RM /home/users/xfile.txt
