What is GPRESULT?

The GPRESULT command-line tool is used to create and display an RSoP query through command line.

Syntax:

GPRESULT [/s computer [/u domainuser /p password]] [/user username] [/scope {user|computer}] [/v] [/z]

Following is the description of the parameters used with the GPRESULT command:


ParameterFunction
/s computerSpecifies the name/IP address of a remote computer. By default, it is set for a local computer.
/u domainuserRuns the command with the account permissions of the specified user. By default, the permissions of the current logged on user is effective.
/p passwordSpecifies the password of the user account.
/user usernameSpecifies the user name of the user whose RSoP data is to be gathered.
/scope {user|computer}Displays either the user or computer results. Omitting the scope parameter will display both the user and computer settings.
/vThe output displays verbose policy information.
/zSpecifies that the output should display all available information about the group policy.
