About Adobe CertificaitonsCLDC stands for Connected Limited Device Configuration. It defines a set of libraries and JVM for resource constraint devices such as mobile phones. In combination with a profile, it provides a runtime environment for J2ME applications. It is meant for devices having following characteristics:
- 16-32 bit processor with a clock speed of 16 MHz or higher
- Limited power requirement, mostly battery operated
- Memory requirement between 160-512 KB
- Network connectivity with limited bandwidth
There are two versions of CLDC, CLDC 1.0 and CLDC 1.1.
