What are the hardware requirements for Windows Vista Capable Computer?

A computer is said to be Windows Vista Capable if it has the following hardware:

  • 800MHz 32bit(x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 512 MB system memory
  • SVGA (800x600) video resolution
  • DirectX9-capable graphics processor
  • Internal or external CD-ROM drive
  • 20GB hard disk drive, of which 15 GB must be free
