What are default print permissions?

Rating:

When a printer is installed on a Windows XP Professional computer, Windows creates the following default permission assignments:

  1. The Everyone group has the Print permission to the printer.

  2. The CREATOR OWNER user (the user who installed the printer) has the Manage Documents permission.

  3. The members of the local Administrators or the Power Users group have the Print, Manage Documents, and Manage Printers permissions.
Note: A user with the administrative privileges can configure the default permissions assigned to the users.
