What are 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows Vista?

Rating:

Windows Vista editions are available both in 32-bit and 64-bit editions. A 32-bit edition of Windows Vista can be run on computers having 32-bit or 64-bit processors. However, a 64-bit edition can be run only on computer having 64-bit processor. The 64-bit editions of Vista allow a computer to use significantly more RAM than the 32-bit edition. The 64-bit editions are used for satisfying high-end specialized computing requirements.

Note: The Windows Vista Starter edition supports only a single 32-bit processor.
