The Microsoft test 70-227 is designed to measure an individual's ability to install, configure, and administer Microsoft Internet Security and Acceleration (ISA) Server 2000 Enterprise Edition. Before taking the 70-227 test, you should practice the following:

  1. Make a Windows 2000-based domain network of two computers. Install Windows 2000 Server with Active Directory in one computer and Windows 2000 Professional on the second computer, and join the existing domain.

  2. Install ISA Server on the server.

  3. Configure ISA Server for Web publishing, server proxy, and server publishing.

  4. Setup dial-up connection and RRAS dial-on-demand connection.

  5. Configure VPN connection. Use different wizards available and differentiate their usages.

  6. Create and configure access control and bandwidth policies.

  7. Create routing rules.

  8. Create protocol rules.

  9. Create site and control rules to restrict Internet access.

  10. Create bandwidth rules to control bandwidth usage.

  11. Create array of proxy servers.

  12. Configure logs and alerts.

  13. Monitor and optimize usage of system resources and disk performance.
