The 640-822 exam Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) is the exam associated with the Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician (CCENT) certification and a tangible first step in achieving the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

  7. Identifying and correcting common network problems at layers 1, 2, 3, and 7 using a layered model approach.

  8. Selecting the appropriate media, cables, ports, and connectors to connect switches/routers to other network devices and hosts.

  9. The technology and media access control method for Ethernet technologies.
