Mailbox Cleanup is a feature of Outlook 2003 that allows users to easily manage the size of their mailboxes and improve the overall performance of Outlook 2003. A user can configure this feature in the Mailbox Cleanup dialog box, which can be opened from the Tools menu. A user can perform the following tasks by using the Mailbox Cleanup dialog box.

  1. View the total size of the mailbox and the individual folders in it, including the Deleted Items folder.

  2. Sort, delete, and archive items by date or size.

  3. View and delete items in the Conflicts folder.

  4. Find and delete unread e-mails (junk e-mail or spam), e-mail that has an attachment, e-mails from a particular sender, items in the Deleted Items folder, and items sent to a particular person, and many more.
