How to restore data from a backup by using the Backup or Restore Wizard?

Take the following steps to restore data by using the Backup or Restore Wizard:

  1. Run Backup from Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Backup.



  2. In the welcome screen of the Backup or Restore Wizard, click the Next button.



  3. On the Backup or Restore page, select the Restore files and settings option, and click the Next button.



  4. On the What to Restore page, specify the data to be restored, and click the Next button.



  5. On the Completing the Backup or Restore Wizard page, click the Advanced button.



  6. On the Where to Restore page, specify the destination for the restored files and folders, and click the Next button.



  7. On the How to Restore page, specify settings to restore files that already exist on the disk, and click the Next button.



  8. On the Advanced Restore Options page, specify settings to restore the security and special system files, and click the Next button.



  9. Click the Finish button.
