How to protect a Web site from lawsuits?

Rating:

There are some Web sites that offer such products and services that can be illegal at some locations. A Web site owner can protect himself from lawsuits by taking the following steps:

  • Inform the customers based on their location: If a Web site provides the products or services that are illegal at certain locations, the customers of such places should be informed about it.

  • Restrict shipping at certain locations: A product should not be shipped to those locations where such a product is illegal.

  • Restrict interactivity: If a Web site has some legal issues, the interactivity to that site should be restricted.
