The steps for using the Visual Studio 2005 to import a COM type library are as follows:

  1. Create a blank solution named AddCOM. Create a new C# 2005 project named AddCOMComponent1, as shown in the image below:



  2. Expand the Project > Add Reference menu option in the solution explorer, as shown in the image below:



  3. The Add Reference dialog box appears that displays a list of components to be registered. Select the COM tab and search the components from the lists. Click OK button, as shown in the image below:
