How to encrypt a folder with EFS (Encrypting File System)?

Take the following steps to encrypt a folder with EFS:

  1. Run Computer from Start > Computer


  2. In the Windows Explorer window right click the annie folder to encrypt, and then click properties.


  3. In the General tab, click the Advanced button.


  4. In the Advanced Attributes dialog box, select the Encrypt Contents to secure data checkbox.




  5. Click the Ok button to close the Advanced Attributes dialog box.

  6. Click the Ok button to close the annie Properties dialog box.

Note: The encrypted folder, annie appears in green color.
