Take the following steps to create an IP packet filter:

  1. Run ISA Management from Start Menu > Programs > Microsoft ISA Server > ISA Management.



  2. In the ISA Management console tree, click the server on which the IP filter is to be created, to expand the tree. Expand Access Policy, right-click IP Packet Filters, and click New > Filter.



  3. In the welcome screen of the New IP Packet Filter Wizard, specify a name for the filter, and click the Next button.



  4. On the Filter Mode page, specify permission, and click the Next button.



  5. On the Filter Type page, if you select Predefined filter and click the Next button, the Local Computer page appears.



  6. On the Filter Type page, if you select Custom filter and click the Next button, the Filter Settings page appears.



  7. On the Filter Settings page, specify the IP protocol direction, and local and remote ports for the IP packet filter. On clicking the Next button, the Local Computer page appears.



  8. On the Local Computer page, specify a computer (in the local network) to which the filter will apply, and click the Next button.



  9. On the Remote Computers page, select the remote computers to which the filter will apply, and click the Next button.



  10. Click the Finish button.
