Take the following steps to create a protocol rule:

  1. Run ISA Management from Start Menu > Programs > Microsoft ISA Server > ISA Management.



  2. In the ISA Management console tree, click the server on which a protocol rule is to be created, to expand the tree. Expand Access Policy, right-click Protocol Rules, and click New > Rule.



  3. In the welcome screen of the New Protocol Rule Wizard , specify a name for the rule, and click the Next button.



  4. On the Rule Action page, specify permission, and click the Next button.




  5. On the Protocols page, specify the protocols to which the rule will be applied, and click the Next button.




  6. On the Schedule page, specify when the rule is to be applied, and click the Next button.




  7. On the Client Type page, specify a client type, and click the Next button.




  8. Click the Finish button.
