Take the following steps to create a protocol definition:

  1. Run ISA Management from Start Menu > Programs > Microsoft ISA Server > ISA Management.



  2. In the ISA Management console tree, click the server on which a protocol definition is to be created, to expand the tree. Expand Policy Elements, right-click Protocol Definitions, and click New > Definition.



  3. In the welcome screen of the New Protocol Definition Wizard, type a name for the protocol definition, and click the Next button.



  4. On the Primary Connection Information page, specify Port number, Protocol type, Direction, and click the Next button.



  5. On the Secondary Connections page, specify the settings for secondary connections, and click the Next button.



  6. Click the Finish button.
