How to create a new remote access policy?

Take the following steps to create a new remote access policy:

  1. Run Routing and Remote Access from Start Menu > Programs > Administrative Tools > Routing and Remote Access.



  2. In the Routing and Remote Access console tree, click the server name to expand the tree, right-click Remote Access Policies, and click New Remote Access Policy.



  3. In the welcome screen of the New Remote Access Policy Wizard, click the Next button.



  4. On the Policy Configuration Method page, select the configuration type, specify the policy name, and click the Next button.



  5. On the Access Method page, select the method of access for which the policy has to be created, and click the Next button.



  6. On the User or Groups Access page, select the User or Group option, and click the Add button.



  7. In the Select Groups dialog box, specify the names of the groups to be added. Click the OK button.



  8. On the User or Group Access page, click the Next button.




  9. On the Authentication Methods page, select the authentication protocol, and click the Next button.



  10. On the Policy Encryption Level page, select the level of encryption, and click the Next button.



  11. Click the Finish button.
