How to create a layer group?

Take the following steps to create a layer group:
- Select a layer in the Layers palette above which a layer group is needed to be added.
- Choose the Layer > New > Group command.
Or, alternatively, choose the New Group option from the Layers palette menu.
Or, alternatively, click the New Group button
in the bottom of the Layers palette. This will add a layer group without displaying the New Group dialog box.
- Set layer options in the New Group dialog box.
- Specify a name for the layer group
- Assign a color to the layer group in the Layers palette.
- Specify a blending mode for the layer group.
- Specify an opacity level for the layer group.
- This will add a layer group in the Layers palette.
- To add a layer into the layer group, click the layer in the Layers palette and drop it on the layer group.
