Take the following steps to create a default gateway:

  1. Run Control Panel from Start > Control Panel.



  2. In the Control Panel window, click Network and Internet.



  3. In the Network and Internet window, click Network and Sharing Center.



  4. In the Network and Sharing Center window under Network, click View Status.



  5. In the Local Area Connection Status dialog box, click the Properties button.



  6. Select the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) checkbox, and click the Properties button.



  7. In the Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6) Properties dialog box, select either the Obtain an IPv6 address automatically or Use the following IPv6 address radio button, and click the OK button.
