How to create a custom brush?

Take the following steps to create a custom brush:
- Create a new layer. Select the layer in the Layers palette and draw a shape with any of the brushes you already have.

- Select the brush shape by holding down the Ctrl key and clicking on the layer on which your brush is located. If you want to use a particular area as a brush tip, select the area by using any selection tool.

- Go to Edit > Define Brush Preset.

- In the Brush Name dialog box, enter a name of the brush tip, and then click the OK button.

- The new brush tip is added in the Brushes palette. The brush tip can be selected and customized from the Brushes palette.
