How to create a bandwidth rule?

Take the following steps to create a bandwidth rule:

  1. Run ISA Management from Start Menu > Programs > Microsoft ISA Server > ISA Management.



  2. In the ISA Management console tree, click the server on which a bandwidth rule is to be created, to expand the tree. Right-click Bandwidth Rules, and click New > Rule.



  3. In the welcome screen of the New Bandwidth Rule Wizard, specify a name for the rule, and click the Next button.



  4. On the Protocols page, select a protocol to which the rule will apply, and click the Next button.



  5. On the Schedule page, select a schedule for the rule, and click the Next button.



  6. On the Client Type page, specify the client type to which the rule will apply, and click the Next button.



  7. On the Destination Sets page, select the destination to which the rule will apply, and click the Next button.



  8. On the Content Groups page, specify the content groups to which the rule will apply, and click the Next button.



  9. On the Bandwidth Priority page, select bandwidth priority, and click the Next button.



  10. Click the Finish button.
