Take the following steps to configure the Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) to start automatically on a server-restart:
- Open the Services console from the Start menu.
- In the Services(Local) console, right-click Volume Shadow Copy in the details pane, and then click Start.
- Right-click Volume Shadow Copy, and click Properties.
- In the Volume Shadow Copy Properties (Local Computer) dialog box, select Automatic in the Startup type box, and then click the OK button.
