How to configure the IP address manually?

Take the following steps to configure Internet Protocol address manually:
- Right-click the My Network Places icon on the desktop, and click Properties.

- In the Network Connections folder, right-click the Local Area Connection icon, and click Properties.

- In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, select the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) check box, and click the Properties button.

- In the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box, select the Use the following IP address radio button, and specify the IP address and subnet mask. The default gateway can also be specified if required. Specify the IP address of the DNS server in the Preferred DNS server field under the Use the following DNS server addresses section. Click the OK button.

- In the Local Area Connection Properties dialog box, click the OK button.
