Take the following steps to compress a folder:
- In Windows Explorer, right-click the folder to be compressed and select Properties.
- On the General tab page of the Folder's Properties dialog box, click the Advanced button.
- In the Advanced Attributes dialog box, select the Compress contents to save disk space check box in the Compress or Encrypt attributes section and click the OK button.
- In the Folder's Properties dialog box, click the OK button.
