Take the following steps to change the drive letter for a volume:

  1. From the Start menu, right-click My Computer and select Manage.




  2. In the Computer Management window, select Disk Management.




  3. Right-click a volume in the Disk Management display and select the Change Drive Letter and Paths option.




  4. In the Change Drive Letter and Paths for the drive dialog box, click the Change button.




  5. In the Change Drive Letter or Path dialog box, select the Assign the following drive letter radio button, select a new drive letter from the drop-down list, and click the OK button.
