How to authorize a DHCP server in Active Directory?

Take the following steps to authorize a DHCP server in Active Directory:

  1. Run DHCP from Start Menu > Programs > Administrative Tools > DHCP.



  2. In the DHCP console, click the Action > Manage authorized servers menu.



  3. In the Manage Authorized Servers dialog box, click the Authorize button.



  4. In the Authorize DHCP Server dialog box, specify the name or IP address of the DHCP server to be authorized, and click the OK button. The Confirmation Authorization dialog box will appear.



  5. In the Confirmation Authorization dialog box, make necessary changes, if required, and click the OK button to proceed. This will authorize the DHCP server in Active Directory. Close the DHCP console.
