Take the following steps to allow dynamic updates for a DNS zone:
- Run DNS from Start Menu > Programs > Administrative Tools > DNS.

- In the DNS console tree, click the server name to expand the tree, right-click the zone for which dynamic updates have to be allowed, and click Properties.

- In the <zonename> Properties dialog box, select Secure only from the Dynamic updates list box, and click the OK button.
