Take the following steps to add error bars to a chart:


  1. Select a chart.




  2. Under Chart Tools, click on the Layout tab. Click the Error Bars option.




  3. Select a type of error bars.




  4. Select an error bar from the chart. Click the Format Selection button under the Current Selection group.




  5. Format Error Bars dialog box appears. Specify the format for the error bars. Click the Close button.
