How to add a counter to the Performance tool in Windows XP?

Take the following steps to add a counter to the Performance tool:
- Run Control Panel from the Start menu > Control Panel.
- In the Control Panel window, select Performance and Maintenance. (If Control Panel is configured to show the Category view)
- In the Performance and Maintenance window, select Administrative Tools.
- In the Administrative Tools window, select Performance.
- In the Performance window, right-click the graph and select Add Counters.
- In the Add Counters dialog box, select the computer to be monitored, the appropriate performance object, and a counter from the list. After performing these actions, click the Add button and then click the Close button.
- Close the Performance window.
