How to add IPSec to MMC?

Take the following steps to add Internet Protocol security (IPSec) to Microsoft Management Console (MMC) :

  1. Run Local Security Settings from Start Menu > Programs > Administrative Tools > Local Security Policy.



  2. In the Local Security Settings console, click the IP Security Policies on Local Machine option in the console tree. In the details pane, right click Secure Server (Require Security), and click Properties.



  3. In the Secure Server (Require Security) Properties dialog box, click the Add button.



  4. In the welcome screen of the Security Rule Wizard, click the Next button.



  5. On the Tunnel Endpoint page, specify the endpoint of the tunnel, and click the Next button.



  6. On the Network Type page, specify network type, and click the Next button.



  7. On the Authentication Method page, specify authentication method type, and click the Next button.



  8. On the IP Filter List page, specify IP filter type, and click the Next button.



  9. On the Filter Action page, specify filter action, and click the Next button.



  10. On the Completing the New Rule Wizard page, specify settings to edit properties , and click the Finish button.
